My family of four, two adults and two teenagers, stayed at Tom’s wonderful apartment in the Marina for 7 nights over News Year Eve. The Marina throws a great party!!! Make reservations at least a month in advance. Probably need 3-4 months if you want prime time at SBG. The location is the most ideal of any of the four main areas that CDC has to offer: The Marina, Minitas Beach, Altos de Chevon and the Resort Hotel. The Marina has 6 restaurants to choose from along with two coffee shops and an ice cream shop, whereas the the Hotel and Beach area only have a few combined. Altos de Chavon is amazing and has an old world charm that must be visited during the day as well as at night, but it is located about 10-15 minutes from the the marina via golf cart.. Tom’s place has ton’s of charm and my family has stayed at many 5 star resorts over the years, so we felt quite comfortable and the view is nothing short of amazing….especially during sunset. There is a ton to do at CDC: played Teeth of the Dog twice, day trip to Catalina island, rented a golf cart for the week(it’s a must), horseback riding, would have done fishing but space was limited. Spent a lot of time on the beach!!!! Drank a lot of wine!! The best part of Tom’s place are the people: Maritcita and Naomi. Two of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet. They are the house managers and show up for a few hours daily to clean. CDC is a unique place with a lot to offer and my family definitely wants to return!! Tom is a great host and he helped answer many questions and helped me prepare for a great stay. Highly recommended!!
The property was neat and clean, the house keeper Maritcita is a very nice person. She keeps the apartment in very good conditions. The location of the property is excellent. I definitely will try this property is I go back to Casa de Campo. Thanks Tom for being so nice and responsible.
Had an amazing time with my family at this rental. The view was perfect for drinks and company at night time. My family enjoyed staying up talking and laughing. The service was perfect. Ladies made sure everything was cleaned and in order. I appreciated them staying a bit late the first day to give us the keys before them heading home. It was an awesome experience!
Had a great time at this Marina condo. We were able to walk to dinner and shopping and to the grocery store. Staff was amazing and cooked breakfast for us each day! Make sure you rent a golf cart to go to the beach club and Altos de Chavon.
The apartment had everything you needed plus a beautiful view of the Marina. You were surrounded by great restaurants and shops. Maricita and her daughter took care of us like family. We loved our stay and hope to return. Thank you Tom for your hospitality.
Walking distance from almost everything in Casa de Campo, except for Playa Minitas and Altos de Chavon. The apartment is in good shape as advertised and includes daily cleaning service. Tom is attentive and very responsive!
The marina is a great central location and this apartment is very nice. There is a grocery store in walking distance and we cooked a lot of meals. Lovely balcony for happy hour overlooking the plaza and boats. Nice outdoor cafes just steps away. Overall, a very good choice for a 2BR apartment in Casa de Campo.
Casa de Campo is amazing and the Marina was a perfect location for us. We lived on the balcony and our 15 year old daughter’s felt very save walking around by themselves. Lots of dinner options in the Marina and only a golf cart ride to the beach or the hotel pool. Naomi came every morning and was very accommodating and Javier provided transportation to and from SDQ. Highly recommend Plaza 9!
We have come to Casa De Campo 3 times in total now. Staying in the Marina was fantastic, especially with our 1-year old son. The apartment was exactly as listed online. Clean, convenient, and exactly what we needed. Tom was fantastic helping us arrange for everything we needed (crib, golf cart, etc.). If you are looking for an option that is walking distance to stores, restaurants, and other amenities, and close to Playa Minitas, this is a great option. We will definitely stay again.
We’re normally guests of the hotel and this was the first vrbo we’ve rented in Casa so we had some reservations. All was as planned, the location was great, and the maids were excellent. Only two issues were that one of the restaurants in the marina below us was being renovated so a bunch of banging and noise first thing in the mornings (not a property problem just an fyi), and we rented an electric golf cart from the place in the marina which had to be charged in front of the villa every night. Marina security didn’t want to let us through in the evenings so to get back in it took some “palm greasing” daily.
We stayed two nights and we really enjoyed Casa de Campo, Playa Minitas, La Marina, and Altos de Chavón. I have been to this area twice and would definitely return more times.
Everything was amazing. Would definitely stay here again. Amazing location and communication with the host was great.
